well I said it, the anime ouran high school host club! the anime has 26 episodes and it’s genre is: gender bender, romance and schoolife.
OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB – what is it about?
ouran host club is about the girl Haruhi, who is a poor, smart and a not truly female-looking girl. she enters a very rich school, because she is very smart, but she doesn’t have the money for a girls uniform. that’s why she’s dressed in a sweater and jeans on her first day on school. also is her hair short and messy, because of a accident with gum.
the school. I would so totally get lost in a school like this 
when Haruhi is looking for a quite place she stumbles upon the host club, who is a club of goodlooking guys who are like hosts to the girls of the school. the boys, thinking she is a boy, decided that she has to join them and work as a host, when she breaks on accident a priceless vase. later on they find out she is a girl, but because everybody in the school already thinks she is a boy, they decide to cover up for her. Tamaki, who is the wellknown prince of the host club, falls in love on Haruhi and also the rest of the club, starts showing feelings for her.

Haruhi’s class has a Halloween event – The Halloween Special Fear Trial Tournament- in which groups do their best to scare the living daylights out of each other! The class rep isn’t so keen on this idea, though, and enlists Haruhi to help him. Kaoru, meanwhile, contemplates a sad truth.

When the son of a gangster, Kasanoda Ritsu, seeks Mori for tips on how to change his scary image and gain friends, the Host Club immediately jumps at the opportunity to change his image. However, Kasanoda ends up discovering Haruhi’s secret.

Kasanoda joins the Host Club, but as a customer. When he insists on Haruhi as his host, the other hosts get nervous and the clients get excited.

Kyouya recalls when he first meets Tamaki two years ago. He initially put up with Tamaki’s odd requests but eventually snapped. From that point on, however, Kyouya could be his real self in front of Tamaki and they became true friends.

my opinion:
this is a good anime for someone who wants to laugh. because the humor in it is probably the reason why most people would watch it. second is the story. it’s not a allways-the-same romance story, but not that extra different either. the twins in this serie give you a little bit a shonen-ai feeling on the beginning. later it gets less. so you have to be able to watch shonen-ai scenes, but don’t worry there are not much of those scenes.
